I followed their established style guide to create brand-consistent, visually compelling solutions to communicate with students, staff and alumni. The aim was to create on-trend designs that were also compliant with their long-standing brand guidelines. To reach our wide audience, all designs had to be inclusive and fully accessible (WCAG compliant, Accessible PDF).
Complete Marketing Campaign
All the fall semester 2021 marketing materials were designed to emphasize consistency to build brand recognition and increase awareness.
Billboards, digital ads, flyer designs, postcard layouts, magazine, event materials, social and fundraising graphics all contributed to the holistic impression.
Semi-Annual Report, Summer 2021
Partnered closely with copywriter Ritchie Bermudez, Associate Director of Marketing and Communications. Managed a print run of 10,000.
Billboard Campaigns
One of our main challenges was getting in-person enrollment back up once classes started up in-person again after Covid. We designed these billboards on Highway 101 and Highway 1 to spread awareness throughout the county.
Print Campaign
Public safety in response to Covid was a major concern. Campus-wide print campaign to encourage COVID vaccination - get vaccinated, receive a gift card. We had an excellent response, and had to get more funding for the program as stocks of the gift cards ran out quickly.
Design for Events
I was responsible for design and print production for special events like the Scholarship Reception. I designed a Powerpoint presentation, invitation postcard and printed program. For events like these, I would make sure that all of the materials that represented the event were consistent. I also managed print vendors to ensure beautiful results.
Website UX Design
UX Ideation and wireframes for the new "Areas of Study" section on the Cuesta website. The Web Services Coordinator used this mockup for usability testing with students and staff.
Flyer Template System
The problem: campus flyers were designed by administrators and teachers. Some used the school templates, while others used Canva templates, PowerPoint and Publisher. The results were not consistent from department-to-department, and it was impossible to tell which flyers were "official" and which were not.
We created a branded flyer template system in Lucidpress DAM of campus flyers. I trained each of our campus users on the correct way to use our materials and brand and how to operate the system efficiently. I also had final sign-off on each flyer to enforce consistency,
